Covered
- Windows desktops and laptops — Windows 10 or newer
- Windows Server 2016 or newer
- Mac desktops and laptops — macOS 14 Sonoma or newer
- Most Linux systems
Not covered
- Phones and tablets. No security agent of this class exists for iPhone or Android.
- Operating systems older than the versions listed. They can run the agent, but our monitoring partner does not guarantee full investigation on them, so we do not sell coverage we cannot stand behind.
- Identity monitoring, security awareness training, and audit-ready compliance evidence. Those are the managed programs, not Ridge Watch.
Every covered machine counts the same. A server or a Mac is $15 per device per month, exactly like a laptop — there is no surcharge by device type.
If phone-based risk is your concern, identity monitoring is the layer that helps — it watches the email and cloud accounts you sign into on your phone, so a stolen password still gets caught. That comes with the Protected and Complete programs, which start where Ridge Watch leaves off.

What happens once you pay.
Stripe confirms the payment
You get a receipt from Stripe for the plan and the amount you just paid. Your card details stay with Stripe — they never touch our servers.
We email you an installer
One per computer, for Windows or macOS. If you already run third-party antivirus like Norton or McAfee, we walk you through removing it first — two real-time agents on one machine conflict.
Monitoring starts, and we confirm it
We email you once the security operations team sees each device check in. From that point you only hear from us when something matters.
Paid but nothing arrived? Email support@obsidianridge.io with the name on the payment and we will get your installer to you.
Cancelling
Cancel online, whenever you want.
There is no contract and no minimum term. Cancel yourself in the billing portal — no phone call, no notice period, no retention script. Service continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, then stops. Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans renew every twelve months, at the price shown on the card, until you cancel.

Questions before you buy
How is this different from Norton or McAfee?
Those are software products you install and then monitor yourself. Ridge Watch is professional-grade software plus a real security team watching it around the clock and responding when something happens. The software is only half of it — the other half is a human who acts when it matters.
Do I need to remove my existing antivirus?
Yes, if it is a third-party product like Norton, McAfee, or Bitdefender. Two real-time anti-malware agents on one machine fight over file access and slow the computer down. The agent we deploy does the same signature-based detection those products do, plus the 24/7 monitoring they do not, so you lose no coverage. Microsoft Defender is the exception: it detects our agent and automatically steps back into passive mode, so you keep it as a second layer at no extra cost.
Will it slow down my computer?
No. The agent uses under 50 MB of memory, has no kernel hooks, and is signed by Microsoft. You will not notice it running.
What happens when something is detected?
The affected computer can be isolated from the network so the activity is contained, and the alert goes to a real security analyst who investigates what happened. If it is a genuine threat, we act and tell you what to do next. If it turns out to be harmless, we clear it. You are not left reading cryptic alerts and guessing.
Can I add or remove devices later?
Yes. Email support@obsidianridge.io and we will move you to the plan that fits your new device count. There is no penalty for changing, and you are not locked into the number you started with.
My business handles patient or client data. Is Ridge Watch enough?
Probably not, and we would rather tell you that up front. If you handle patient records under HIPAA, client funds or privileged files, or client financial data under the FTC Safeguards Rule, monitoring alone does not cover your obligations — you need identity monitoring, awareness training, and audit-ready evidence. That is the full managed program, not Ridge Watch.
